Last March, Apple carried out the launch of the iPad Pro, which contains features such as: the LiDAR scanner, which will be included in the next launches of the new iPhone phones from the Cupertino, California company.
According to reports from Bloomberg, four new models of these smartphones could be launched in the fall of 2020, which will be prepared to work with 5G and will be the successors of the iPhone 11 in its different versions. That is, what is expected for this year is the presentation of the iPhone 12.
In the case of the devices that will replace the iPhone 11 Pro and 11 Pro Max, the high-end devices will have flat stainless steel edges, instead of the current curved design. The rear camera grid module could be replaced by a new three camera design with the 3D LiDAR sensor.
All this would bring the iPhone 12 closer to a design closer to the iPad Pro that Apple presented a few weeks ago, thus rescuing the LiDAR Scanner, which has depth detection functionalities, in addition to being compatible with the new generation of professional photography and design.
According to Apple, this technology offers completely new functionalities for a mobile device, among them you can measure the distance to an object that surrounds us, up to five meters, all with the aim of taking better pictures and moving images, the idea is to prepare the advancement in augmented reality applications.
Regarding the size of the screen, the highest range of these new models is expected to be slightly higher than the 6.5-inch ones.
Thus, reports from analysts and other international media suggest that the iPhone 12 could see the light in September, as happened with the launch last year, or in the month of October this year. We will have to wait.
