Sadly but it is true that many of the best tastes are the worst for us. That’s because they are artificially built to seize the flavors we naturally love – sugar and salt – to levels not found in nature. In other cases, it is the growing or packing processes that cut corners and put consumers’ health at risk.
01. Tomato cans
Tomatoes are believed to be dangerous due to their high acidity, which seems to cause leaching of BPA from the tin lining to the tomatoes themselves. The level of BPA can be very high indeed; you should seriously consider not feeding them to children. Due to FDA laws, there are no BPA labeling standards so just because one cannot say that it does not mean it does not contain BPA. Be safe and avoid cans. Cook fresh or buy glass bottles.

02. Pickled vegetables
We have been taught since childhood that vegetables are healthy and generally good for our health. But according to the Cancer Hospital Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences, if they are picky, they may do more harm than good. Vegetable vegetables are generally believed to increase the risk of gastric cancer.

3. Sodas
Sodas use carbon to have longer shelves. Such drinks are a major cause of hypertension, diabetes, and kidney stones. Cola drinks contain phosphoric acid. Carbonated water increases ghrelin – the starvation hormone, which can trigger breast cancer. Sugar soda causes obesity. Obesity is a major cause of chronic cancer diseases today.

4. Microwave popcorn
Popcorn is generally a relatively healthy snack, so it is very unfortunate that the most convenient way of popping actually makes it unhealthy. The reason is that microwave mic bags are lined with a chemical called perfluorooctanoic acid (PFOA). Many studies have revealed that consuming PFOA can cause kidney, bladder, liver, pancreas, and testicle.

5. Refined White Flour
Oprah is famous for losing a lot of weight by cutting any white, especially the big culprit – white flour. You may have heard that this is bad for you, but you probably are not aware that chemically-bleaching flour with chlorine gas kills all of it’s healthy nutrition. Fuel gas can be deadly when inhaled, so why would we want it at our dinner? White flour also contains a high glycemic rate, which increases blood sugar and insulin levels and can directly cause diabetes. Cancerous tumors consume blood sugar, so by avoiding refined grains such as processed white flour, you can prevent or starve dying tumors.

6. Potato chips
They can be cheap, easy and delicious, but crispy, addictive snacks can be deadly too. These fatty foods not only cause weight gain due to their high trans-fat content, they also have excess sodium levels, which causes high blood pressure and artificial taste, preservatives and colors. Another danger is the presence of acrymalide, a known carcinogen found in cigarettes. Try not to feed those quick snacks to yourself or your kids and choose pretzels, air-popped popcorn or baked apple chips.

7. Hydrated hydrogenated oils
Hydrated oils are vegetable oils, which cannot be naturally extracted such as olive oil, soybean or canola oil, they must be chemically removed. They are commonly used in many foods in your pantry to maintain and maintain shelf life, however they are also associated with cancer, birth defects, heart disease and many other deaths. Do NOT cook hydrogenated oils and check your labels for healthy oils like olive, soy sauce and canola instead.

8. Eggs are preserved
Using lead in egg laying is one of the major safety concerns. Lead, even in small amounts, can be toxic to people – especially when it comes to nausea. Before consuming preserved eggs, do your research and find out if lead is used in processing them.

9. Refined sugar
Cancer cells love refined, which regulates insulin levels and promotes cancer growth. High-fructose corn syrup is considered the worst offender and it can be found in anything sweet you can imagine. It has been known for a long time that cancer cells consume sugar, so with so many people addicted to sugar treatments, it’s no wonder why cancer rates skyrocketed.

10. Dirty Vegetables and Fruits
Dirty vegetables and fruits are the ones that are harmed by pesticides. The Canadian Cancer Association’s research advises a good connection of pesticides with cancers such as multiple myeloma, non-Hodgkin lymphoma, prostate, chronic lymphocytic leukemia, pancreatic, lung, non-melanoma skin and testicular cancers. Also, studies of pesticides and childhood cancers suggest that there may be a connection between non-Hodgkin lymphoma and leukemia
