In the beginning, Dr. Md. Shahidullah provided information on receiving and distributing medical supplies, including PPE. He said masks and gloves were given to hospitals around the country, including the capital, by reviewing appropriate standards from CMSD (pharmacists) by a specialist committee. Outside of CMSD, many healthcare organizations either collect it on their own initiative or distribute it to health workers. As a result, confusion is created around these medical products. CMSD is blamed for the fact that doctors and nurses do not know about locally purchased or donated materials (for substandard materials). But in reality these (low quality masks and gloves) are not provided from CMSD.
Dr. Shahidullah said that as of yesterday (April 21), the CMSD PPE had collected 14 lakh 96,000 150. Distributed 1 lakh 5 thousand 20. Currently, there are three lakh 20 thousand 12. CMSD receives and distributes an average of 3,000 up to 3,000 PPE daily. CMSD currently receives a variety of high quality PPEs and distributions in dedicated hospitals for Covid-19. In addition, there are millions of N-1, KN-1, SEP-2 and P-2 or equivalent masks. They are distributed at the Covid Hospital and PCR Laboratory.
During the presentation of the bulletin, everyone is encouraged to stay home and follow the health department’s advice to avoid the risk of coronavirus infection.
